Bambi is cute.

When we where we live now we had some really friendly deer.  These were mature deer that I assume had lost their mother and been bottle feed or given treats as babies.

This can be a danger situation for children.  Children may not realize what a thousand pound deer can do or how easy it is to get trampled.

Particularly a buck.  They tend to use their antlers to hook the femoral area and with a lacerated femoral artery a person will die in minutes.

I don't feed them by hand.  When I go for walks I throw them sporadically when they aren't around.  Then  they have little snack surprises to find.

That last comment was merely to calm your mind.  The truth is that deer have 250 million scent receptors compared to a humans five million scent receptors.  No need to worry..it's not like I'm buying bags of organic carrots for them on a daily basis.  I really do love the wild animals though and what is even better is that they love me back.  Humans have so much to learn from wild animals.
