So, tomorrow morning we start the roughly 17 hour drive to WL.  My eldest brother lives in Medicine Hat, so we will spend the night there (and divest ourselves of many zucchinis).  She Who Must Be Obeyed and I are looking forward to our time there to visit, learn, and lend a hand as SEPPers.

I keep travelling at strange times...this spring we were away for nearly two weeks just before main planting season.  Now, here we are a few days after our average first fall frost with nary a frost in sight, but many tomatoes and peppers remaining on the plants.  We spent several hours this afternoon harvesting, so now we have a pile of fresh vegetables, most of which we can't take across the border with us.

At any rate, we are looking forward to the trip...it promises to be quite the experience.

Jennifer arrived last night, although i have not seen her yet this morning.

Do you know what sorts of things you would like to do while you are here?

We made it home safe and sound.  It is in the range of a 17 hour drive for us...there was definitely some comedy on the trip there (not that I was laughing at the time).  We did get a chance to see my brother and sister-in-law and nephew and his family on the way.  I've copied the photos from the camera (146 of them), but have not yet edited them down and chosen from among the best.

It's a beautiful part of the world with lots of wildlife (even the ones Paul would rather weren't around).  We learned, we laughed, we sweated, and according to Boot Chris, we taught.  Since we have the potential for frost in the forecast, a bunch of time today was spent harvesting in case things cool off...I picked about 10 lbs of tomatillos today that I'm not entirely sure what we are going to do with - we don't need that much salsa verde.

Anyway, I have an overnight trip tomorrow, but will hopefully get photos chosen and edited by the end of this week.  Hopefully High Commander Stephen is enjoying his candied cinnamon apples by now (assuming they are ready...should be if the rocket dehydrator was fired up since we left).
