It's about time I remove all the pumpkin vines. Lots of the leaves have powery mildew. I have heard it's ok to put it in the
compost pile because most soil already has it anyway, so it won't harm anything. I have heard don't put it in the compost because it will increase the odds of the plants getting PM. Which is it???
To be honest it's not something I tend to worry about because it's so dry where I live it's pretty rare for any of my plants to get it. I have never had it on any veggies before. Even this year I didn't really worry about it because it came at the end of the season and did seem to affect production. That being said I don't want to do anything to start having a problem.
I would love to know what you think. Compost, or don't? Thanks
