I didn't know where to put this but figured Writing, was a decent fit.

I got to writing a response to a thread on another forum and it turned into a long winded off-topic affair, so I copied it to a Google doc instead. That happens a lot with me on forums, I get to writing and can’t stop and end up drifting far from the subject, so I decided to do this instead.

I obscured the author of the post that started this rambling because I set the file to “anyone with the link” and I may post this same thing on other sites.

Anyway, for anyone interested Reed's Ramblings # 1 11-27-24

One of our kids does that all the time Mark, but he has Aspergers :) Mind you he's a highly intelligent, highly qualified university graduate- but hard to keep up with sometimes.

I used to do this a lot myself, but used Microsoft Word to form my ideas.

For whatever reason it seems on Permies we discuss more complicated questions and problems so it takes a fair amount of words to convey our ideas adequately.

Lately I have been trying to be more concise. I believe it was Voltaire that said, "The less you know about a topic, the more words you use to answer".

Ouch, that hit a nerve, so I have strived to be more concise in my answers of late.

But how did the elephant get like that? What did you do? I think all we can do now is read this tiny ad:
