places to stay in Missoula

Last November, Paul, Forrest and I stayed at Goldsmith's Bed and Breakfast (http://www.missoulabedandbreakfast.com/). All around great service, a lovely room/suite, and a hearty, tasty breakfast.

What other places would you recommend for a visitor's stay in Missoula?

Last fall, when I went to Missoula I stayed at the DoubleTree and at Ruby's Inn.

DoubleTree

The DoubleTree was nicely located close to downtown and from Mount Sentinel, so it was a great place to stay for exploring the city. Their restaurant has a really nice view on the Clark Fork river. They have a free shuttle to and from the airport.

Ruby's Inn

Ruby's is not as fancy and not really walking distance from downtown, but it is very affordable. They also offer a free airport shuttle.

Camping

For those considering camping and traveling by airplane, there is a REI in Missoula where you can rent camping gear. That is a good option too.

I checked out https://www.airbnb.com and they had 33 places to stay in Missoula ranging from $45 a night on up.

I love the Come On Inn in Missoula. Todd and I used to do a StayCation on New Years and rent a Jacuzzi room, back when I was less caring about the impact of endless private baths of hot steamy water and a big screen TV.

FYI, My friend's Parents OWN Ruby's Inn (sadly Ruby, just passed away last year).. so if we want to hold a pod of rooms we might be able to get a special rate..for events.

Adrien, Rebecca and Julia had good recommendations - any others? I'm bumping this because we have loads of people visiting for workshops in May and June - yahoo!

"How many licks ..." - I think all of this dog's research starts with these words. Tasty tiny ad:
how do we get more backing of the brk?
