my husband used to snare rabbits when we first got married..he used a sharp fine wire so it would cut their throats and they would bleed out and not suffer..worked really well

ive never had success using snares. i believe there is a science to it. or more so than i initially believed. i had better fortune using leg traps for predators.
but i personally wouldnt use snares for something i planned on eating. most snares are a suffocation device. all blood is retained in the meat. i only eat bleed meat. but for predators i have no problem using snares...........if i could just get them to work for me.
not enuff rabbit round here to try and snare. theyve disappeared.
