Hi, I was looking through some old posts and saw Paul's book from about 5 years ago in draft form. Has it all been updated and "finished" now and how is it available - I think I might have been entitled to a copy at some point as a crowdfunder, but I'm happy to pay for it? Anyone have input on the book and it's usefulness?  Also interested in other books and resources on "building community", especially strategies for decision-making processes, organisation, etc.

I am not sure about a Permaculture thorns book so I thought maybe this is the one:

I did a little snooping and believe I found the "Permaculture Thorns" you are referencing - https://permies.com/wiki/123760/permaculture-thorns-Book-Build-Permaculture

There is a button to purchase on that page. I however am not versed in the book or its background.

Consider checking out the Permies Book Review Grid for ideas on others books you might want to check out.

It is not a final book. I have read it through and the current iteration is very very good.

I read Diana Leafe Christian's book on forming community many years ago and thought it was good.

Permaculture Thorns is well worth reading, even in its unfinished form. It's been a long time since I've ready Diana Leafe Christian's book, but from memory Paul's book covers stuff that is not in her book at all, such as the dictator/consensus hybrid idea that seems more likely to work in the long term.

I'd recommend both books to anyone wanting to learn about intentional communities.

I agree. Here's the link: http://stoves2.com
