I hope these can be read ok.
In my nutrition degree I had a class on Nutrition and Aging, and we had to interview the oldest person we could. I chose my 82 yr old aunt, since passed. We were to ask what they ate, how they got their food, how they learned about nutrition and health, etc. What struck me was the way her community seemed so ..... well-oiled. No supermarkets. The guy who was the best at butchering was the butcher. The person who was the best at baking ran the bakery. Neighbors grew different foods and traded, shared, or sold the extra. If I had a plum tree and you had a pear tree we'd trade some, for variety. Wagons coming by with various goods or services..... I'll shut up now and let you read it for yourself!
