Good evening friends! Wanna find out if anybody made a wigwam trellis before. I recently made a tepee trellis before at my community farm and backyard for my beans. How many sticks and stuff to create a wigwam? Which type of tree branches I need to create a safe tepee trellis?  Please reach me if you need me. Take care!

Hi Blake - I haven't made a wigwam trellis before, but my plan for peas is to place the bamboo sticks in the ground at an angle all around my circle of pea plants and secure them at the apex with a binding of string. One stick per plant.  It'll probably need a taller central support to stabilize the construction.
I decided on planting in a circle to help wind protection for the plants

So how tall are we talking for the wigwam Blake? Do you mean just a 6ft structure for beans or are we talking a 25 foot multi year structure for grapes or kiwi?

I'm with Jill if the structure is just for annual vines like beans or squash, but for heavier plants you may need to take more care.

What's happening! I'm looking to make my wigwam trellis up to 10 feet high for some of my beans and peas to fit their height. Also like to make it 15 feet wide for a few folks to enter. Any material to make it sturdy enough?
