Best approach to placing an ad for "help wanted" on this site

Greetings!

I am new to this site and I am excited to find it! There appears to be a lot of depth to this resource....and a lot to sort through!.... hence I am posting this to ask for some advice relative to the best and/or the most direct way to go about posting an opening for "help wanted". (We are a private nature Sanctuary located deep in the Andes mountains of Ecuador.)

I looked at the advertising tips and they seem to be more aligned with the selling of products. We are not attempting to promote anything commercially. We simply have a wonderful opportunity to offer a couple of earth loving, permaculture oriented stewards with experience in building wonderful structures in remote locations.

Thanks in advance for assisting me in how to go about effectively placing such an ad on this site.

The best place to start would probably be to make a thread about it. I would suggest making one in the the South America / Central America / Mexico forum, or in one of the Experiences forums (there's forums for Jobs Offered as well as Volunteer Offerings).

It's entirely free to make a thread about your site here on permies, and there's lots of free ways to advertise it. Here's a good summary of how to advertise for free (and not free) on Permies. You can increase visibility by posting more information about your site every few days--maybe pictures of what you're doing or projects you've done.

Once you have a thread, you can also advertise that further (if you'd like) by buying thread boost to advertise your thread in our newsletter, on our forums, etc.

My suggestion would be to give information about the job duties, what you are offering in exchange for the work such as accommodations, etc.

Looking at the ads under Jobs offered or Volunteer offerings will give you an idea about what people are looking for.
