Just came across an article about an artist making his own brushes from all natural materials.
He says it helps him to paint natural subjects!

That's lovely. And there's this meta-artisanship that comes from making the tools that make things, that's fun. His brushes are works of art unto themselves.



It also reminds me of all the crazy tools I improvised when I had my hands in clay every day.
