Some plots are more developed than others.  I think that for every ant that gets a lot done, there are eight people that were sure they were ants and learned that they are more like grasshoppers.

This, plus my strict standards for entrance, makes for growth, but I wouldn't say it is "developed."

Further, boots, during the bootcamp, get an acre to play with.  They could select an ant village plot to play with - complete with the idea that it might later become their plot (as an ant, or as deep roots).  Most choose something outside of ant village with the goal of deep roots.  In this way, the ant village plots don't move forward a lot.

The last few years, I felt I needed to improve the filter for joining.  We've actually been doing quite well since people will come here through the bootcamp or the sepper program and learn how to meet the filter needs.  But it does seem like something a bit more formal is wise.  Thanks to your post, I have put a little effort into this today
