I've got tons of ramps on my property. Several months to till they come up though.

My project thread
Agriculture collects solar energy two-dimensionally; but silviculture collects it three dimensionally.

I'll order some seeds (thanks!) and cj, if you would be willing to send me some I'd be forever grateful. What do YOU need? We have a couple extra hardy kiwi and forsythia plants. We have so much stuff around here (mostly all babies) but possibly I could trade you for something or pay you for the ramps and shipping. Can you contact me? drmoffat@naturalhealthtechniques.com and our farm is http://elkmeadownursery.com This year we're working on putting in the trees for a food forest, a bee hut and a plot with beginning and end of season flowers for the bees. We have a long way to go and lots of trees to purchase yet (I've been growing them from seed for 3 years now) but it's looking up around here.

If you are looking for ramp plants in bulk, it is hard to beat The Ramp Farm
(1,000 bulbs/$198) They also have seeds.

Ramps need sun in the spring, but will not grow in it beyond that.
That's why they are native to deciduous forests, but not evergreen forests.

I'm not sure how much sun they need but yeah, they come out before the leaves on deciduous trees open up.

Mine are in a spot which is very ledgy, deciduous trees, near a small creek/ waterfall.

i like this company, i have ordered some passionflowers and other things from there before and got nice fresh viable seeds...they also have wild ginger seeds...and some other rare seeds that have been on my most wanted list for a long time =)

Try them in the forest. Try them in multiple locations, hard to say in advance which will be the best spot.
