Almost every time I gather wood in a pile ,trashcan or stack, for burning or construction, with or or without a covering, it seems to attract ants.

It makes grabbing a piece or an armful very unpleasant and inconvenient.

What do y'all do to repel ants from your woodpile?

Are y'all  battling fire ants, carpenter ants or another type?
They are all challenging, but fire ants leave more pain and loathing in their wake
Best luck on this
