I may have helped a young person widen her listening background just a bit this past weekend. One of my night shift RN's was named Lydia, so I had to ask if she had heard of a singer from the 70's by the name of John Prine, and her reply was that it was a just a bit before her time!!! Well I informed her that name was used in, too some of us, in a somewhat famous song from around 72 to 74. She said she would look it up. I then did a very poor effort to sing what I could remember of the song : "with her hair up in curlers and pants down to her knees, in the backseat of (someones car) !
She laughed and walked out of my room smiling, I felt better!
The End
Peace
Best of John Prine would be the album to look up "Donald & Lydia"
