I wonder if something along these lines would keep deer out of the garden?

My sister tried similar on squirrels with a second hand mechanical T-Rex and said after the first scare, the squirrels just ignored it.

Most such things need to be under some sort of shelter from the rain, which is also hard in a garden!

Also, Hallowe'en tech is intended to be used for 3-4 weeks at most per year, not 3-4 months, so longevity could be another issue.

But it would be great fun while the fun lasts! Particularly if you've got a cam of some sort to catch it on film.
