We have been living off-grid and building our own homestead/s for the last five years in Arizona and New Mexico and have decided we want to move back to Nevada where we lived about ten years ago.
Our desired property would be 1) at least 100 acres, 2) above 5000 feet elevation, 3) have a well and pump with water rights 4) without neighbors close by. We also prefer to not be near train tracks. Having an airport, hangar, or runway on the property or nearby would be great, but not a deal breaker. We are open to very remote areas and are used to dirt and unmaintained roads.
A home or structures would be nice but not necessary if we are allowed to live in our RV on the property full-time. Fencing and/or corrals would be nice. We are significantly reducing our sheep herd, but our plan is to continue raising livestock wherever we settle. We are not a commercial operation, we only raise livestock for our personal use.
Budget is $200,000-$800,000 with creative/or owner financing and/or open to trade properties that we own in both Arizona and New Mexico. We are in the process of selling more than $1M worth of real estate while looking for our next property at the same time. We are also interested in renting or leasing property (either a home or space for an RV) in north/western Nevada while we continue to search for a property to purchase. We are self-contained in our RV and my husband works from anywhere with our own Starlink. We do have dogs (both livestock guardians and house dogs) and depending on the situation we would bring anywhere from 2-6 with us until we purchase our own property.
If anyone knows of land, property, or a situation that would be mutually beneficial for us, please let me know. We are working professionals and business owners in our 50's-60's with no dependents (other than our animals) and have no issues with background checks, no use of drugs or smoking, and only responsible and moderate consumption of alcohol.
