I was talking to someone who said there is a parametric 3D model that can be used to print batteries that fit any handheld tool. It can hold any number of 18650 cells. So I took a look for this model. I haven't found it yet. But I have found a model for making batteries that fit makita tools

What anf how are 18650 cells used please?

18650 is a standard in batteries that show the size and general shape.

The 0 indicates a round cell

18 refers to 18mm, the cell diameter

65 = the cell height—65mm


18650 cells are the most common type of cell used in small battery packs.

I have seen a couple YouTube’s about it, but I never saw a good answer for the electronics built into modern tool batteries.

It seem that you can buy Battery Management System (BMS) chips from China. That is what Kasyan did when he built one.
