Coweeta Heritage Center has hosted volunteers and taught self-reliance for over 20 years. Coweeta is now seeking Founding Members to establish a permanent Cooperative Community in a serene valley in the mountains of Western NC. The future community, situated off-grid with hydroelectric and solar power, will serve as a Healing and Retreat center in a drug-, alcohol-, and tobacco-free environment. Much of the workj has already been completed. Members contribute time and/or money to support the development of permanent housing and shared facilities, including a Community House with a kitchen, dining area, and wellness services. The center will emphasize sustainable living, gardening, and self-reliance. Temporary housing is available during the construction period. Interested individuals are encouraged to contact the center via email (www.coweeta@gmail.com) or website to learn more and apply. This is a great opportuniy if you are looking for a place for your future!

Sounds cool. I'll let my family in NC know about this.
