Do you know of any zoom meetings that meet regularly for intentional community discussion? Any on here?

There's nothing official on here for zoom meetings.  But maybe someone should start one?

Each international community sets up its own way of doing business.  I bet they have Zoom Meetings so maybe if there is one you are interested in joining you might ask if they have Zoom Meetings.

I like the suggestion of Riona to start an international community Zoom Meeting.  Maybe start a discussion by setting up a date and time then see if there are any takers?

I also wish there were like monthly permie meetings in person, where we could talk about all this stuff, intentional community included for those folks living in one or seeking one.  Maybe I need to do something about this at my house, or a coffeeshop, or something.  At least for people in my area.  We have a couple of facebook groups but they don't have in person meetings around here, I remember someone tried to start a monthly meeting a few years ago but it only happened once or twice.

So stuff locally and also a nice big permy zoom meeting?  I'm not computery enough to set up the zoom meeting, and I myself don't get a lot out of zoom visiting, but I hope someone reading this can run with it.  I'm feeling inspired to try something more local and see if I can get something going in my area in person.

Thankful for this inspiring thread.

We do a youtube live called the Saturday Smackdown.  Usually about once a month.
Anyone is welcome to join us!

I think doing more of this would be a great way to help folks find community or get started with their gardens and permaculture journey.

Folks with pie will get a heads up on the topic and can suggest future topics.

I will join Samantha's youtube live that sounds good!

But its not really about intentional communities at that point its just general global permies community.

I agree with others that intentional community is mostly local.

HOWEVER, that said, no intentional community is going to survive long without a plan to attract more people. That means reaching people who might move to join you...some advertising is fundamentally required and this would be a good way to connect communities to new blood and also share best practices.

So i think actually an intentional communities group where a different community talks about themselves each month would be very valuable.

To do that would mean a serious amount of setup and networking on the part of the host to get people signed up to present each week. In my business we call that a boundary organization. Someone who does the work of connecting otherwise separate groups for the benefit of all. If anyone wants to sign up for 10-20hours of prep each month you could certainly do a monthly show and tell. Again it seems like youtube live is a better application for this than zoom.

I know that the FIC Foundation for Intentional Communities, did, and possibly still does, a monthly zoom-in where two or three communities from all over the world would be spotlighted and those watching could write in with questions.  Good way for people to find out about communities.
