In the book, The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, Murakami describes the overture to The Thieving Magpie as "quite possibly the best song for making spaghetti".

So I tried it.  



He might be right.  It's long enough to last prep to serving.  It's energetic like boiling water.  It's fun to attempt to whistle to.

It's going to be a hard one to beat.
