I have never questioned that my Master Mouser and Shelter Pup were well above average in intelligence.  Lately, they have been having extended meetings with one another. This morning I found them sleeping together.  How much time do I have before I am locked outside and fed scraps?

Make sure all your doorknobs are the round kind (opposable thumbs required), not the handle kind!

Oh, boy. By the time they're actually sleeping together, your goose is cooked. The question becomes whether they will allow their favorite servant to leave.

Ned, I am afraid the pup (German Shepherd/Border Collie)has enough of a mouth on her to deal with the door.

Carla, that may explain why, collectively, I am never out of their sight.

You, sir, are under close watch, just in case you get wise to them.

You’re in trouble. Border collies are really smart and your pup looks like it is exercising the border collie genes.

With multiple dogs, the clue is that you will never get one to 'rat out' the location of any of the other dogs on the property, no matter how urgent the situation.  No "Lassie, tell Timmy where the injured bird is located no matter how far away..." for these guys.   The unspoken dog code is that the caretaker never gets to know......their lips are sealed as part of an ancient pact.  One can only imagine what other plans are afoot!   ;-)

Su, I have attempted exorcisms on cats …with no luck.  Do you really think one might work on a dog?
