Operating and maintaining a fully functioning homestead requires many hours of attention and a lot of hard work.
But my invitation to you is to not forget your creative drive.

I am really driven to create things that honor the natural world around me. Not only in the materials I use, but in the symbolism that has driven art and design of indigenous cultures for thousands and thousands of years.

I love your sun pattern Michael, and yes - we're too often stuck with our nose to the grindstone to notice the beauty in life.
What I like about your wooden sculpture is that it won't be static, the years will change it as it bleaches and moves in the sun and weather.

But seriously, I showed up here to a shell of a house, bare bones jf you will. The house was built many years ago with the intention to finish it, but the people who built it walked away before the vision was anything near completion. The years and weather have taken their toll, but the canvas is clear for something truly special.
Been here two months and I'm excited to watch this place transform. I have creative license and an almost inexhaustible amount of reclaimed resources to really make this place come alive.
