I feel that is absolutely possible.

He is probably a vegetarian, (I did not watch the video) and eats a lot of stew.

I would expect that he cans his summer surplus.

I expect that he has a fall/winter garden and uses a root cellar to store the excess.

Mulch and drip irrigation or something like that keeps the plants wet when there is no rain.

If I am wrong that's okay.

I congratulate him for figuring all this out and sharing with the world.
