I'm looking to change the direction of investors money from the pipeline to renewables

I'm going to post this in a few places to try and attract attention

i have been watching this pipeline proposal and trying to imagine the problem being the solution

while i haven't figured everything out yet, i have an ally here who is also in the same mind

i am forming a company

East Coast Association for Renewable Energy

I really don't have much knowledge about these things, but i figured there might be some help in these pages as to technical market expertise and all the things it might take to get something like this going, specifically targeting the areas where the pipeline is proposed at first, but expanding to other areas

I know that this is a storm waiting to happen, and i really don't want to be the major force behind it, but it would be good if enough concerned people saw this and offered some sort of advice, encouragement, or even a willingness to invest if the time ever came

The proposal is to find an alternative investment opportunity for the capitalists who are looking to make a fast buck from fracking and the like

at a meeting tonight it was pointed out that yogaville and buckingham is in a unique position to possibly turn this fracking tide in wva, and while i have no idea if this is possible, i would sure like to see it happen If we can hold the line here it will limit the access to ports for export of natural gas (which they're not supposed to be doing, but everybody knows is coming)

anyway, anything anyone can offer is welcome

bob day : it is my understanding that 'solarcity' connects investors with prescreened most likely to succeed deals where the solar panels on the end customers house
are on a lease purchase arrangement that almost always reduces the end customers Utility Bills !

Generally a win -win situation, there is some worry about what happens when the end user wants to sell his house with lease purchase panels on his roof ?!

The equity will cover it, but what if the money gets tied up in escrow and the seller has to borrow more money to clear the outstanding account?!

I think most of those wrinkles have been ironed out, but there is always one more S.O.B. than you counted on !

i've heard about that before but hadn't thought about it in connection with this endeavor

The overall goal was to divert energy from the pipeline, a task that may be impossible at this point in time

When i heard the wrinkle last night about connecting to an export terminal in MD it starts to look like there are lots of other pressures being brought to bear, not just a local group of investors.Like this country is going to be wrung out like a sponge to come up with the money to satisfy our international debts.

But along the way some of these smaller more localized efforts may do something to at least get the people in this country on board the renewables train.

Thanks again, i don't know how any of these things might fit together, sort of like assembling all the plant species that might be available and then see where they might fit in the overall design.

Boston banned the presence of a Nat Gas Super tanker in its harbor over 40 years ago when the plan then was to Import it !

So are you saying that I need to include Russia, northern Europe, and OPEC in this design as well

well, i did know that there was a big political deal going on in North europe and russia and that supplies have been interrupted in the past causing great hardships

but you are essentially right, I do not wish to be an alternative energy tycoon, have not studied business or law or anything remotely useful here--except permaculture

That is why i have posted here, i want to use the BIG BRAIN of Permies to gather information, strategies anything that might help design our way out of the nonsense going on all around us

I really didn't start out yesterday morning thinking there was any chance of stopping the pipeline, but i have been thinking that permaculture principles will apply here as well as anywhere, so you could say this is the observation stage

I'm having fun, so that's part of the process

I plan to go pick up a few hardy orange trees and install a storm door and inspect a possible property purchase for a friend, i haven't quit my "day" job

But i think the time of waiting for others to do this is past

there are permaculture people in Europe, Russia and everywhere else

We all have the same priorities Earth Care People Care, and return of surplus to those first two ends

Just because most of us would rather be in the garden doesn't mean we can't start to focus collectively on a bigger and very necessary design

There are lots of pieces on the world stage, lots of greed and misplaced energy, we need to calm those energies gather them together and soak them in as beneficial to the earth instead of the flood that erodes

I'm no sophisticate on this big-picture matter, as I don't naturally have much of a head for business (except on the smaller scale). But isn't the Rockefeller-family divestment of fossil-fuels holdings a big help in changing investors' minds, Bob? To me it seemed like quite a news whollop!

I have heard investors speaking about the wisdom of this before, and you're right, the rockefellers speak and lots of people are listening

The dragon may have been real (and still is for the wells still in operation) but it looks to me like this is a great time to be promoting this awareness

One of the first things i did was look up the name ECARE since it seemed so obvious i figured someone had thought of it before, but saw no references directly for ECARE, but quite a number of renewable companies out there, and do plan to check into contacting many of them for advice and or joining with them in some way.

It is not so much planning or even wanting to do anything more than educate and redirect energy, i don't want lots of money, don't even want this to become a personal work of my own,, if so it probably won't amount to much, and as times change i believe we can count on all the "thems" out there becoming part of "us" even though right now it seems near impossible

so a large part of our job is going to be to create the pathway for "them" to easily find their way out of the hole they have been digging

can anyone think of an alternative use for well drilling equipment already in use or produced, and then retool the factories to make machines that might be more beneficial? (and more profitable for the factories themselves

And there are a million other details that i hope i never have to think about.

why are they building an export terminal if this is supplying the US public

if anyone can get motivated there is contact information at the end of the video that could conceivably swamp the federal agency FERC with enough petitions to kill this before it really gets started

forgive me if i keep this post going by myself, but i'm looking at this more closely as time goes by. before i had assumed it was just too big, and out of any realm i might have any influence over, and i still keep the serenity prayer in mind as i think about this, and certainly in the immediate future this would seem to have so much momentum as to be impossible to stop.

Thinking about northern europe and all, it's as if the propane we might export would have some leverage over moscow by lessening it's strangle hold over natural gas there, so there is certainly even a cold war mentality fueling the federal government as it seeks to support allies and stymie russia, so one might hear that this is for the national defense, but of course that thought process is flawed.

You see, as we move into a permaculture mentality, we are going into an earth care and people care mode

no more jockeying for power, we do what is right for the earth and the people

if northern europe needs insulation, or glass panels to make sun rooms, or other technology to help them retrofit to use less gas , we would do what we could to help them out of the dependency

I know this is a bit on the purple side, but, i totally believe in the spirit created when many people hold a thought form in their mind

a sort of genetic resonance if you will

when we become so clear in our own mind that there is no fear about russia,or any other nation trying to steal our shit by force of arms, we get past one of the major fears that has been plaguing mankind for eons

we go to a place where we expect the best out of our neighbors, even on a global scale

sure we will run into bullies occasionally but it seems there is another whole thing going on in the background, where if we start to do the right thing, then everyone else will stop and take notice. the main reason they will notice is that we have been the biggest bully of all.

we started this cold war thing back in world war two, and even before if you look to winston churchills attitude.

dividing the world between communism and democracy, we exploded nuclear weapons and invited observers to demonstrate our might and all it got us was an arms race that still goes on today

there are lots of lessons here, but the main one is the profit motive and trying to gain power over others

the simple truth here is this is a vehicle for the wealthy to get even richer while the people of the earth have more and more crap to put up with

and the kicker is, they have manipulated markets so that the people who would rather be of the earth end up destroying the earth for a common days wage

Like i said. this is only the observation phase, i see that there is something possible here, but i'm not sure exactly what it might be

maybe there is another side to this , changing investor direction might be one, but i also see another opportunity in changing the hearts of the people working on the pipeline and in the fracking fields.

yes, i know we are talking about a big design, but there are some big things that are going to make our remediation work that much more difficult, and it would be easier to stop the damage then repair it
