Mister, that is simply amazing! Your ability to build such a vessel is extremely inspiring!  I have read through all posts and studied the photos all the while imagining meandering down the "Mighty Mississippi River". I've always envisioned a "river rat" life and saying goodbye to the bitter cold of the inevitable Minnesota winter as soon as the leaves begin to change color and the wind begins to blow! With the edge of the cold nipping at the boats wake! But, no worries as I make my way down the river looking forward to warmer weather,  a constant change of beautiful scenery and adventure! Which is exactly what I'd have...probably not the fun kind though....since I don't even know how to drive a boat let alone repair or build one!  I'm laughing at myself now!  Your  talent and skill are remarkable! Very impressive. Thank you for sharing. Tell me, it's 2021 October...are you on the water yet?

Some of the posts on the first page detailed the fiberglass-reinforced epoxy coating and protective paint that seal the hull.

Fascinating project! Reminds me of Spiral Island near Cancun:

I have gone to look for myself. If I should return before I get back, keep me here with this tiny ad:
