How to connect IBC tanks for rainwater collection?

Multiply the rated volume of the top tanks by 8.23 lbs to get the gross weight of a full tank! That's a LOT of weight!
SO, just one quick question!
Are you absolutely SURE that your bottom tanks are going to support the top tanks when those are full of water?

Are you sure that the overflow is large enough to handle the intake?
If it isn't the lids will be the new overflow.
And the possible intake capacity is greater than the maximum overflow capacity.
Also, the lids don't need to be closed because the overflow takes care of that.

Hi Richard,

As I look around the WWW, most systems seem to have their rain water coming in the top of the upper tote. What was your rationale for using the tote valve as your entry point? I like the simplicity of your design and as of now, it’s my preferred approach.

Just read this thread and I'm wondering what the top horizontal pipe is for? It's not on any of your diagrams. Where/what does it connect to?
