What might we add someday that would work for you?

Frankly I'm not sure. Since Paypal ceased its operations in Turkey, we can only purchase through "direct" bank payment (system redirects the costumer to the bank's website) or through pages like amazon, ebay or similar.

Would cryptocurrencies like bitcoin work for you? Would Payza work for you?

I have not used bitcoin before but probably would work. The thing is I personally have doubts about bitcoin itself (nothing to do with this subject) and also generally about the possibility that I might not access to my crypto-money in the future. Paypal service was cut so suddenly in 2016 it was a shock to online trading in or from Turkey. Bitcoin has no legal basis at this point, it is not legal or not illegal and thus can get banned easily. We like to ban :/
I checked: Payza does work in here and is an option. It is rival to Paypal and aimed to fill the void. I should warn you guys though it is not popular at this point.
Hope it helps.

Having problems with this feature. I ordered Helens presentation which I received just fine, then ordered the playing cards PDF as a gift for a friend. 5 hours later she still has not received the email. I followed the instructions carefully. Any suggestions?

I can see you have purchased the gift right. Can you ask her to check her spams folder?

Steve,

98% of the people buying stuff are going to buy it for themselves.  So that is the primary path for everything - and why we are giving you very exact instructions on how to get an egift rather than just buying it for yourself.

In this thread we laid out some exact directions on what you need to click on to make the egift stuff  work.   Are you saying that those options are not offered?

At this time, here is the play:  buy it as a gift.  And the tell me that it is working okay.  Time is nearly out - we will make sure everything is rosy.

Hi,
No I am not saying for sure that choice was not offered. It was my experience that was at the egifts thread, I clicked on the permaculture design and appropriate technology courses. That took me to a screen where I had a chance to click on a dollar amount from a table. I clicked on the dollar amount (the 150) and I was taken straight to paypal. There may have been an opportunity to give as a gift, but I didn't see it.

I am also saying that when I tried to download the courses, I failed. It seemed to work, but when I clicked on the icon in my downloads folder, nothing happened.

So, my situation is that I have paid 150 and did not get anything. If possible, I would like to give the courses as a gift. If that is now impossible, I would at least like to be able to download them myself.

I was assured above in this thread that we can recover from this situation. I am believing that and am not at all worried or unhappy. I am in no hurry. However, I was getting notices to go to a link to get a message, and then I was not getting a message, which made me think I was doing something wrong. I am sure the whole thing is my fault somehow but I just want to solve the problem.

Reading through this whole thread, I see that I had a very similar experience as Steve.  We were both sending a gift which didn't reach it's destination. Also, like Steve, I was informed that I had chosen to close my account and had to subscribe to the monthly newsletter in order to reinstate the account.  I just checked again and my friend still hasn't received an email.  Not even spam.  I'm certain that I clicked the gift button when I made the purchase and put in the correct email address of my friend.  Hope this helps...

Steve and Toby,

Devaka tells me that he has put changes into the software to make it so that your circumstances have been repaired.   Does it seem like everything is now better?

That took me to a screen where I had a chance to click on a dollar amount from a table. I clicked on the dollar amount (the 150) and I was taken straight to paypal. There may have been an opportunity to give as a gift, but I didn't see it.

That table is for the 98% of purchases where you purchase it yourself.  The gift stuff would be below that.

I am also saying that when I tried to download the courses, I failed.

Devaka sent me an email a little bit ago that says all of your stuff has now been repaired.   So are you downloading just fine now?

If possible, I would like to give the courses as a gift.

Try it now.  It should work fine.

Thank you for this information. After coming to Tinkering with this site, I went to the top and clicked on Click Here. That took me to an explanation of how to buy something as a gift. In the first section, I saw that I could go to the digital market by clicking on that link, so I did. Then, I went down to the Permaculture Design and Appropriate Technology combination course. I clicked on that and got what appeared to be an ad for the courses, but at the bottom, I was told that I have access to lots of discussions. I went into the first one and, sure enough, I have access to lots of discussions. I am in the process of tiny downloading some of them now.

How long with I have access to these links? Can I take my time and go back there frequently? Or will I soon find myself unable to enter?

Also, I did not see any way to give anything to anyone. When I clicked on the course in the digital market, it went right to the page where I had access. Is there any way I can give that access to someone else?

I'm new at buying courses from you so I have a feeling I am missing something totally basic, but I still don't see how to give the courses to anyone. What am I missing?
Steve

For the same page where you already bought it, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on this:

Steve,

You can download them whenever you want.

Do you see a "My Stuff" link at the main menu at the top of this site? Click that link, and it will take you to a list of items you have purchased for yourself.

To buy some of those for someone else, please follow the link as shown in what Paul attached in the above post.

Toby, please go to this link to find your gift:
https://permies.com/forums/paidTopic/showGift/51

On that screen, you can find the secret link to your gift. You also have the options to email it to someone else.

For anyone like Toby who bought a gift but didn't have a chance to send it to someone, you can do so by going to your ledger -> DM threads - gifts I purchased -> show

On December 22nd, 2017, I tried this feature. I paid a dollar for a PDF of the playing cards, I believe. I sent it as a gift, but the person never received the PDF file, or so I am told.

There have been some changes to the gift feature lately.

Can you please go to the following link and enter the email address of the person who should receive the gift?
