thanks, Ellen....I am trying to scan the entries of that fb group...it does look like a lot of good information but hard to sort without reading so much...I saw your post ... it looks like it is a very active group. How far back do you suppose the mention of Green Dragon Botanicals might be?

Just reviewing this thread and I need to add that we're just north of the "hot zone" for Lyme - zone 4. Supposedly it's much worse even just 50 miles to the south although the doctor said it has been creeping north, most likely due to climate change.

I just realized you're in zone 7.

I just realized you're in zone 7.

We are not a hot zone for lyme but cases of tick fever and a few others are increasing. I had what I thought were Lyme symptoms including a bullseye rash when I first went to the doctor but my blood work said no lymes just tick fever. That I guess, is common and Buhner speaks of co-infections as being really common and not always detected.

When I had Lyme in 2005, there was little info on the web as there is now.

I followed Buhner's protocols and healed from chronic, long-term Lyme in about 4 months.
Not everyone is as fast as that.
I recommend him unwaveringly.
Of course, people have been healed by other methods too.

Finally got test results back... negative! That actually complicates things quite a bit.

yeah, a positive would have given you a place to start. Why did they just check for Lymes? We were checked for four different tick diseases. Maybe Lymes is the only one in your area?

Well, at least it began a good conversation and some helpful links, etc.

There are several tick born diseases around so I don't know why they didn't check for more. I have a follow up visit tomorrow. I do feel like these symptoms could be a million different things.

Yesterday & today I've been cutting down smallish paper birch trees for shiitake cultivation & I have to say I do love being in the woods despite the dangers that lurk there.

My dog just tested positive.

The more we read the more we realized that there is concern that tick diseases can be passed by other means than being bit by a tick...such as saliva...that friendly dog lick I suppose it would have to be on a cut or something.
We are both positive that we were infected by bathing our tick covered dog who we later found had tick fever (she died). I was picking off ticks and washed up thoroughly afterwards but I think the direct exposure to infected blood was enough.

This is weird for me, because I have always taken ticks as an annoyance but wasn't overly worried...........I've changed my tune
I think I would at least start on some recommended immune booster... like astragalus and check into Buhner's protacal for lymes and take the more general ones that would be good for overall health anyway.
I just began teasel tincture again and am noticing the 'cleansing' effect already.

How soon is too soon? The last time I removed a tick was probably like 3 months ago, although like you said it could be from another vector.

I have to say I do feel 85% better or at least 85% of normal.

I think it was a couple/few months......I don't remember for sure and it probably varies....and the symptoms can come and go over long periods of time anyway....or you could have just fought it off without any help. Evidently that is what we have done in the past with tick fever...as the test showed that we had had it and that it was also active at the moment...........
Maybe it is some other sort of 'illness' and you are one the mend...that would be wonderful:)

Just a PSA that Coconut oil is supposed to be good against Lyme Disease:

Coconut oil in your mouth also kills "Lyme Disease" spirochetes that live in your mouth. These deadly spirochetes can gain access to your bloodstream via a leaky gut, which is caused by the gliadin protein in wheat and other grains.

I haven't done any research on this but anyone who has Lyme may want to check it out. Coconut oil is a great fat as most Paleo/Low Carb/Keto people know.

Hmmm. Well, coconut oil is often used by people on a ketogenic diet. I've been on this diet since New Years and have been doing tons of reading about it. It is excellent for many inflammation and/or auto immune diseases.

At the end of this lecture, Dr Terry Wahls does report some anecdotal evidence that it does help with Lyme.

I've got Lyme disease. Have had symptoms for nearly 3 years now. Didn't know for a while what the heck it was. Have been treating it for a year. 8 months of anti-boitics didn't touch it.

I'm now doing Stephen Buhner's protocol.
