Made a little portable rocket cooker

Made a small rocket cooker from a few photos that I saw on the internet over the last few weeks. It worked but it didnt really rocket like some of the picture I saw.

Iorweth Caradog : Two things , One I think your air channel under your wood feed is too thin, and two, it is definitely too Long! Drill one or more holes in the bottom 1/3rd
of that channel and see if that does not greatly improve things

Thanks Al, much appreciated. Too thin? do you mean to narrow or that the metal itself is too thin. Bugger I actually welded up some holes that were down there, no problem i can drill them out.

Iorweth Caradog : Sorry, I should have been clearer ! I Think that your build was perfect for warming the flow of air to the fire,
but due to friction losses/Laminar Flow you were stalling the air flow thru that channel,and causing your rocket to suck in its air down
past the wood.

In line with that, the fastest way to test is drill some holes, or try it your way, just open your channel so that it is not as wide !
