Leaf for Life Handbook:
How to Combat Malnutrition and
Improve Food Security With Green Leaf Crops

This 95-page, 11" x 8.5" paperback outlines in detailed but simple language the essentials of growing, preserving, and using green leaf crops to end malnutrition and build a more durable food system. It is liberally illustrated with clear "how-to" diagrams as well as lush renderings of most of the crops mentioned in the text. (Original art by Keith Wilde)

You will learn how to choose the best crops to plant, improve your soil, make leaf powder and concentrate, raise edible cover crops, and build your own solar food dryer. Twenty original recipes that incorporate leaf vegetables are included.

The book is available to buy or as a pdf download. David said that the pdf is free though ideally folks who could would help support Leaf for Life. Its really intended more for people working with malnourished low income people in the tropics, than for North American gardeners. It is also available in Spanish and French.

Bumping this thread up as I think a lot of people could benefit from the information in this book to improve their food security.

I wish I could be half as happy as this tiny ad!
