It seems to be saying, to me anyway, that non-organic food makes you pig out so you get fat for the winter.  Best reason I ever heard to avoid the stuff...

Not that either cocaine or sugar/sacharin is good for you but just because their eating doesn't mean it's the best.

I agree with the statement " just because their eating doesn't mean it's the best" though I suspect that higher protein content is something most people would consider better for wild bird feed.

It seems that I often hear the converse "If food XYZ isn't bad then why don't animals eat it? A farmer had some cattle escape and walk right bast a crib of XYZ corn to eat some organic corn standing in the field" which is also poor logic.
