Hey Jake,
Great examples that Dave gave you!
I would add also
Sepp Hozler farm in Austria, well he is a famous ambitious permaculture person, with some genious and crazy ideas. I visited his place and I really find it amazing (no overstatement!).
I also visited and enjoyed the highly biodiversity spots of Martin crowford forest garden in Devon, UK, and Plants for a Future
project in Cornwall, UK.
Then, I also like the small urban gardens of Path to the
Freedom, even though they are labelled as "permaculture", and the one from
Eric Toensmeier, which is a leading expert in
perennial vegetables, so he created with a friend a fantastic small urban permaculture house garden.
Our projects:
in Portugal, sheltered terraces facing eastwards, high water table, uphill original forest of pines, oaks and chestnuts. 2000m2
in Iceland: converted flat lawn, compacted poor soil, cold, windy, humid climate, cold, short summer. 50m2
