This guy is an artist.

He wrote a vulgar comedy about jesus as a youngster and yet it comes out respectful and educational.

Other books just seem so banal compared to his writing.

I'm going to be driving about 15 hours over the next few days so I went to the library to get a book on CD.  And there was "A dirty job" - so I'm going to "read" that a second time.  One of my favorites from christopher moore.

What authors might come close?
