I love permicuture, I just bought land in Andersonville GA, and this is a scattered post. I am dieing to attend a PDC but with permies living in south gerogia I feel i should not have to go out of state to attend a PDC. Is there anyone in this group that has attended a PDC and would feel comfortable teaching one to a small group? If not are there members of this group willing to help organize a PDC where we can pool money together and hire and instructor to come in and teach a PDC some where in South Georgia this summer?

If you have a group of people who want to learn, then you just find knowledgeable people to come and teach on the various different topics. There are not a whole lot of Permies in Georgia, and they are scattered all about. There is a new focus of activity in Burke county, with a new farmer's market this year. Right now the group is growing, but it has quite a way to go. You're welcome to come and take a look at our projects and see whether they are something you would like to do as well.

You may want to look toward the permaculture folks in Jacksonville, Florida. They have a thriving group there, worlds more than what we have here in Atlanta. I'm not sure they are all on Permies, but it wouldn't surprise me. http://www.meetup.com/PermacultureJax/

We will be going through your area the weekend after memorial day, short notice I know but would it be it ok to come by and check out some some of you guys projects that Saturday or Sunday maybe?
