my first skiddable pig shelter

I tried to find these pics here on permies, and then it hit me that I took these pictures before I created the forums. So here they are!

I'm pretty sure that I built this in 2001. My standards on skiddable structures have evolved a lot since this. For one, I don't like using plywood anymore. I am also grooving on using roundwood more.

My standards on raising pigs has evolved a lot too.


In these pics, you can see that even back then I avoided the use of paint. I would try to get the roof to be much larger than the structure so it would keep most of the weather off of the untreated wood.

I got oodles of metal roofing for free, so I used a lot of that stuff for a lot of projects.

You can see the structure starting to get a little older.

One summer we took some of the plywood off so it could be a little cooler.
