Enjoy Herbs

From Alliums to Zingiberaceae – this class will explore the fascinating world of herbs. Used by humans for thousands of years, herbs continue to enrich our lives every single day. They flavor our
food and drink, provide the scents for toiletries and perfumes, often feature in cosmetics, and are used in both complementary medicine and many pharmaceuticals. This course opens the door to this incredibly valuable world.

You will learn how to successfully identify, grow, harvest and preserve them and about their different uses. This is accompanied by detailed study of the major groups of herbs, such as the mint, parsley, mustard and ginger families, alliums, scented geraniums and lavenders. This is a really cool course that will span from designing a herb garden and try-at-home recipes to commercial herb production and marketing. Hi Everyone, I thought I should introduce myself.

I'm Callum and I work at the Horticultural Correspondence College. I'm looking forward to getting involved in the Permies community a little more and answering any questions people might have.

I'm based in London and we're really excited that we can now welcome students from the US.

If you have any questions that aren't covered in Cassies' thread then let me know and I'll be able to help.

Hope to speak to some of you soon.

Cheers!
Callum
