I give this DVD set 9 out of 10 acorns

I loved this set, and guess I'll keep on watching from time to time. having 7.5 hours of videos on permaculture applied skills is awesome and you never finish getting inspired by the great teachers that Olivier and Barthélémy filmed.
So many skills are foound in the set from how to sharpen a knife, to laser levels or herbal medicine, scything, and more direct permaculture design topics.
The real piece of cake in the set is every chapter has a further reading section where one can find online resourses or books that delve into the topic that was presented.
One could not want more in 7.5 hours of video's, but maybe having all that abundance gives away a bit in deepening on video some specific topics. Some video's are only, let's say, eight minutes long and you feel you've missed out something.
Of course the overall total viewing is great.
The producers/directors Olivier and Barthélémy have confirmed they are a growing certainty in the permaculture filmaking world, having already two great films on screen and a new one coming out soon.
Great work, a must for evening views in PDC's

This is excellent set of videos, loaded with permaculture knowledge. Also quality of sound and vision are superb.
As in all cases of filmed courses I have seen so far, there are moments the scene is cut exactly where I would love to learn more on the particular topic. Obviously it is not possible to include everything to cover the entire PDC curriculum on four DVD's , but this production is doing great job in showing PDC highlights.
Nice thing about this DVD is that it covers also some practical skill topics which normally are not a part of a "traditional" PDC course, like using a scythe, chopping wood, sharpening a knife, etc.

I strongly recommend this set of videos to everyone who wants to be introduced to various aspects of permacaulture or is not sure whether taking permaculture design certificate course is worth doing. Also, for cold climate folks, to get some practical tips and hints. Well worth its price and time spent watching it. I will surely watch it once again.

When you buy Permaculture Skills you get a set of very professional videos that introduce you to broad topics such as client briefs, element placement and edges as well as some very specific videos that go into more detail such as the knife sharpening, tools, knots and propagation videos.

This mix of broad and specific topics makes it ideal for permaculturists whether they already have a PDC or not. I would go as far as to say this is required viewing for anyone considering shelling out hundreds of bucks for an online course, for only 30 euros this gives you a fantastic introduction.

Most of the videos take place out in the field rather than in front of a whiteboard which is a good thing. Having further reading after each video is also very useful

It is one of the best produced Permaculture videos I have seen along with the Permaculture orchard. The visuals are crisp and the audio clear and the editing is on point; strictly no waffling. It gets bonus points for not having that jaunty folky swing style music you always seem to get on Permaculture videos.

The online streaming access works well and the videos dont buffer or mess about.

My only criticism would be that the video on designing in zone 4 and 5 could have gone into more detail about the zones itself and had less time spent on the Ministry of Funny Walks stuff (it was unintentionally hilarious). That's not to say it's a bad video; the discussion about the role of extinct mega fauna was fascinating and entirely new to me.

I'd definitely recomend this to anyone with an interest in Permaculture, particularly those operating in a cold climate

10 out of 10 acorns!!! I love this DVD set! I like how it is laid out like chapters of a book, each chapter telling its own story, but still part of the whole. The camera work is awesome and the information is invaluable! This is literally fun for the entire family...my kids actually ask to watch parts, and the wife even watched a few sections on her own. The intro and exit music is great (almost as good as my 5 year old doing his goat dance around the room as it plays!!!) Each of the kids make up their own dance its great!

How well does this cover yields and productivity.  I'm hoping to find some great practical advice on high efficiency design and rubber hits the road yields of diverse food and financial outputs.  If this doesn't cover these aspects well what else do people recommend.  Thanks in advance.
