Hi all; Didn't know where else to put this so here it is. For years now when I have free time I have enjoyed playing an ancient board game called mancala. Known to have originated in africa. This game is advertized for ages 6 and up ... originally played in small holes in the ground with seeds as playing pieces. Six and up huh... Well i'm' 57 and my buddy is 63 (grumpy old men )we could play all afternoon if our wives would let us! Recently I discovered a "new" ancient mancala game, called "omweso" the national game of uganda . Hundreds of years ago, women and children were banned from playing this. It was the game played by rulers at court . If you didn't play omweso you were not in the know ! This is mancala for adults... Larger board, more pieces , very fast once you get the hang of it. This is much better than regular mancala ! One game can go 10 minutes or over an hour, and you never know who will win till it's over! I bought my board at amazon on a whim , was looking for a mancala board to give to my sister in law and I spotted the add for omweso... hmm this sounds interesting, so I bought it ! Can't recommend it enough !
