I'm going to buy trees wholesale for my 2017 planting. I'd like to buy more than I need and sell to help pay for the trees I'm keeping. I am only buying trees that I have currently growing. I'm going to advertise them as proven growers for our area. Any tips on selling though?

I figure craigslist and the Facebook selling pages. Advertising through flyers, perhaps a local nursery as well. Any other ideas?

I think you have a great idea!  I have seen people putting the trees in grow bags and selling at farmers markets or have a plant sale.  Pick a Saturday and advertise a "Plant Sale" and maybe you have some herbs or other plants to sell or homemade products!

Good idea.  What ratio are you getting like twice what you need or three times to get everything paid for?  If you don't mind saying, where are you going to be order from?

I am interested in doing this too. How much do you mark up the trees (without them grown bigger yet)?

Fyi, there are legalities that you should be aware of... Every state requires a nursery license to sell live plants.

Something must be done about this. Let's start by reading this tiny ad:
