It seems a lot of people will read 'you' in a post and immediately assume that anything written in it is indeed aimed directly at them.  

Really guys, it probably isn't.  It could easily be aimed at any or all of the other million visitors that we get to the site every month.

So while we do encourage members to write in more general terms and avoid too much use of 'you' when they post, we also ask all members to not assume that everything they read is aimed directly at them.  If it does seem that way, please re-read the post with the assumption that the 'you' is a more general one and interpret accordingly.  If it really does seem to be written as a direct attack on you, hit the report button and we'll investigate.  But really, it's not likely to be.
