hi, I am looking at a silicone flashing for my 4" aluminium flue from wood burner, sim to this:
Please does anyone know what sort of ?silicone squidgey stuff I should use to seal it onto the 'onduline' corrugated bituminous roofing sheets?
Most product advise says low modulus silicone but it assumes it is onto corrugated metal.
thanks

Hi sorry I don't remember the brand and I used up the tube. I chose something that would take high temp and tested on some of the roofing sheets to make sure it didn't affect the bituminous sheet. if I remember correctly it did include bituminous roofing on the small print - chose it off the shelf rather than special internet search for a product.
no great help to you sorry!

The installation instructions I found indicate the use of specialized closure strips for big gaps. I imagine the local distributor or installer can connect you with these.

The instructions also call for "rubberized elastomeric flashing cement/caulk" or single-sided butyl flashing tape. I think I recognize this caulk type -- it is used for metal buildings where expansion and contraction are issues. It's widely available.
