40+ acre homestead in NE TN with power, water and internet. There is gardening opportunity and large wood working shop, mountainous mature forest acreage as well as pasture land here. interested in finding someone who is wanting to put up a living space for them self or convert one of the old out buildings on this 100+ year old farm. I guess you could call it room and board and small stipend exchange for someone who will help with construction projects and other improvements that we are working at around the place. Some of these things are converting old pole barn to a welding and fab shop. Building a new pole barn. Fixing the pasture fences and putting up a small stable. Tending to a newly planted chestnut grove. And other chores like firewood and mowing and stuff. My philosophy is I cannot do everything at once but slow and steady gets the jobs done every time. There is a fairly large fully outfitted wood working shop here with lots of Red Cedar already cut stacked and dried.
If this sounds like something that interests you lets talk.

Some other things were working on are ginseng seeding and hunting, honey gathering and bee boxes, cedar canoes, major river 1000' away, solar panel and system construction, Hope to put together a greenhouse b4 too much longer to aid in growing herb and spice plants.
Great opportunity for someone who wants freedom from the rat race, suburbia or the madness of the city.

This is a pretty cool proposition Bruce. How many hours a week are you looking for, and the stipends, etc?

Hours? I don't know? whatever is comfortable. everything is negotiable. Stipend--money for essentials and stuff that you want and need again everything is negotiable. There are also money making opportunities here with several things including the wood shop and huge supply of cedar to work with.
Lets talk if your interested.

I'd love to visit at some point in the coming year...and volunteer my time or work exchange.

I have spent some time, off and on, in an intentional community called The Farm...in Summertown, TN over the last 2 years. I've taken workshops in photovoltaics(solar power), I've learned various forms of natural building, and even co-hosted a bottle wall workshop there. I've also spent some time at The Dancing Rabbit, near Rutledge, Missouri, this year and learned quite a bit about the governance of an intentional community, conflict resolution, non violent communication, alternative currency and natural building vs green building techniques. I've visited and work exchanged at the 1st Tennessee earthship, in Galatin,TN and also spent a weekend at The Tennessee River Arts Village, in Parsons,Tn.

I've dedicated the past 2 years and the upcoming year to learning as much as i can about intentional communities, off grid living and natural building.

I'm intending to either find a community in which i can happily exist and feel comfortable moving my family of 3 into...or finding a pc. of land in which i can build my own community. Either way,  I'm absorbing as much info and experience as i can and I'd love to visit your community perhaps this coming year 2018.

I am a glass blower/glass artist and educator... I teach glass art full time for about 18years now, from my own studio... I also am a bee keeper, for about 2years now.

I currently live in Memphis,TN... I identify as female, sexual orientation is lesbian, and I have a wife and one male child who is 8 years old. My website is blownfuseglassart.com, email is blownfuseglassart@hotmail.com, phone number is 901-336-6555.

Please feel free to contact me and send me any info about visiting your community, or getting involved in your community...including costs, fees, items to bring, applications to fill out, work exchange opportunities, volunteer gigs, scholarships or grants to offset costs, or anything else you think may be useful to me.

Thanks for your consideration,  Teresa/Fuse is my nicknane.

My name is Daniel. I am 42. Very physically fit. I live in Ohio. I have an associate degree in construction and carpentry. I had a remodeling business in past. A janitorial and floor care business. I have done all aspects of construction, from poured walls, roofs, painting, just about all. I have lived on farms. Can use saws, split wood, garden, and even have knowledge of alternative building. I can cook amazing. Being a janitorial man, i def clean, great at organizing, great with kids and animals. I have a lot of energy and drive. I am a kind man, old soul, values and morals. So... Many story, short.

I am recently divorced. I get along with her and her family great. See my kids a lot. When we were together we had a janitorial floor care business. We sub contracted services for 2 grocery stores, same owners/ stores. She left me. Remarried, and stores went out of business. So, I went from being married and making a $1000 a week to, go find a job and survive on my own. I have tried my best. Had a janitorial job for years. I am still single, lonely, nit happy with my living arrangements, I miss construction work, having buddies or a Friend, living happy, feeling alive. I am totally ready to make a change. I have so much to offer and nothing to loose. I can help you. I have tools, books on everything, camp supplies. Just need help. I can work and find a job easy. Can we talk please? Maybe see if I could be a good fit.
Pics of me and some construction. My experience is vast. Many different skills.

My name is Henry I am 32, graduated college in civil then electronics engineering. I am 6’4” 200lbs and not afraid to lift 200lbs on my shoulders. I have tremendous perseverance and attention to detail when doing things I love, perma-farming being one, as it keeps me close to God. I am religious and live almost a Monastic life, outside a monastery. Pretty boring one may think, but God is my fuel and I can be out there working that field alone, I don’t care, I do it alone, just God and I! I love helping and this is great for me, and great for you because I truly know what I can offer to another human, and it’s a lot, much more than you expect, possibly mind blowing! I will make anyone’s life easier for sure, and not because I would try, but just because it’s who I am, I enjoy transforming with my hands, making things from bad to good again, to make someone worthless valuable, I rather dress up an old puppy pretty again then to breed another one.
