Cool, then I'm not imagining things
I suspect it would put up with anything but wet feet -- mine is unfazed by temps ranging from -30F to +100F and doesn't mind being quite dry (at a guess, the
roots are probably deep and invasive) but makes more fruit with some
water. The one in full sun looks better but the volunteer in full shade, tho leggy, has more fruit (albeit slower to mature and less sweet). It's naturally bushy but you might trim it into a small tree or hedge. It blooms profusely in late March (it even beats the crocuses) and is evidently self-fertile.
Going to try growing a few more from seed, but I'm guessing it's not the best germinator or I'd have them everywhere.
