Be careful when you make your oils folks .

Article here

Snip from article.

"The Justice Department announced today that YOUNG LIVING ESSENTIAL OILS, L.C., (the Company), headquartered in Lehi, Utah, pleaded guilty in federal court to federal misdemeanor charges regarding its illegal trafficking of rosewood oil and spikenard oil in violation of the Lacey Act and the Endangered Species Act."

Please keep comments "nice" so we do not have to move this to the cider press.

In part, this looks like a good company with some sketchy employees, contractors and suppliers.

I do not easily believe the company should be so held to the fire for the suppliers in the USA.

However, I would have issue with the company if they placed "compensatory" systems in place for the purchasing agents of the company.  That only promotes the grey and illegal areas of business.  This is what happens in many financial institutions from loans and credit cards.  I always felt procurment specialist should be paid a salary, a good salary but no bonuses.  Easier said than done but hey, I got to sound smart haha.

Thanks for sharing!

Interesting. Looks like spikenard might be hardy to zone 6 and prefers poor soil, but only yields about 1% of dry weight in oil .
