Hudson Bay jacket

Months ago, I ran across a post that concerned Hudson Bay blankets being converted to a warm practical jacket. My score today, as I was putting a water heater in, was noticing that the home owner was preparing for a fall tag sale ( also called garage sales else where) on the table was the largest and thickest wool blanket I've ever seen. This thing is heavy duty and hey, I even liked the color ( south western pattern) I love wool ,Plenty of GI blankets for my bed. I remember there was a link to a pattern for these but can't find it. Can someone help me. ( working off a cell phone, eyes go buggy).   Tnx.  Larry

Miles, thank you for the link.  I went back to finish the job I was on and the homeowners gave me another duplicate blanket. She told me that they have been around for years.  No one wanted them because they claim they are " itchy".  Kinda odd, I can toss a wool blanket over me and be nothing but warm. These are the thickest wool blankets I've ever seen. I have the feeling that they were not made here.  No tags. Just thick wool. Now I have enough to make a pair of pants some day. If I add a wind breaking top and bottom. Should be able to sleep outside in that gear, and wake up, Thanks once more.  Larry
