I'm doing my best but it looks like he LIVES for that website. My goodness, who has the time? I can see why you're discouraged Paul. Keep up the good work though, I really appreciate it and lots of places I've linked to just love it as well.

Look at that.  The r/food one has 10 downvotes - thus hitting net zero.  r/happy has 14 downvotes.

Well, it feels good that somebody understands it.

The odd thing is that i really like reddit.  Much more than facebook.

When I look at those videos they both look like they are up. I'm confused about how that site works exactly.

And it would seems that the site admins will do nothing.

And the stalker just downvotes everything.

Perhaps give up on Reddit for a couple of months and instead focus on Digg, Delicio.us, and other similar sites instead?

Someone with tech saavy should do a site like Reddit aimed at gardeners/permies/environmentalists/homesteaders/etc.

If multiple postings are what is sending him over the deep end perhaps posting only once, letting us know in advance so we can vote it up and seeing how that works. That's his big issue, right? So don't give him anything to complain about. It will get seen if we focus our effort on one post once in a while. I'm game to keep trying if you are.

Good point.  Maybe doing this for the next month will cause him to go bother someone else.

Even posting just once still gets his attention.

Reddit has turned out to be one of my best resources for posting stuff.  The whole site is one massive collection of links.  With a good submission there and good content, I have seen 10,000 views for a video.

I really need to focus more on creating content and leaving the part of posting to places like reddit to others - any of you feel up to taking this on?

If I can figure out how to do it I will. I am an idiot when it comes to this stuff but I already cross post to a couple places so what's one more? I'll give a head's up here and my other spots so ppl can upvote it just after I post.

For each subreddit, there is a button on the right edge that says "submit a link".

For example, there is the reddit

http://www.reddit.com/r/homestead

You could go there, click on the "submit a link" button.  You will then see two fields "title" and "url".

For "title" you could put: check out these rural kids feeding their community

For "url" you could put:

Then scroll down and click on "submit"

Done!

Ok, will do.  Let me know when there is something you'd like me to submit, this one is already on that doofus's radar and so am I probably for telling him off. Plus, it's not hard to follow you here and read these posts to see what we're planning. Just send me a PM when you're ready and I'll post things while I'm hitting facecrack etc.

Go ahead and post this in r/homestead.  I am the moderator there and I banned the stalker from that subreddit.  So it's a good place to learn.

I posted something about milk paint in that forum. How do you find those sub-forums anyhow?

As you use it more and more, you kinda get the hang of looking for that sort of thing.

Oh my goodness, hope the food poisoning passes soon! (Ah, no pun intended!) Hydrate, hydrate and take it easy!

(Lurking on this forum, but just couldn't let that comment go without some virtual support.)

Loony suggestion but it might work.  Post once every hour for 24+ hours to keep the jackass up.  Have all your content lined up and a surrogate drop it in while you catch some shuteye.  Sooner or later you will get a clear lane.  Hey, he might even implode.

Requires dedication to match the loser on the other end.

Oh, and you would see when it is that he sleeps! So you could post things then, ha ha.

Jocelyn, thanks. I was only out for part of the day and sort of weak today. I didn't drink more than a mouthful of water all day long, it was unbearable taking anything in only to have it rapidly and violently expelled. A one day dry fast for me. I'm all cleaned out now though, no need for a spring fast/cleanse  .

I don't think this creep sleeps much, or regular hours.  You have to piss him/her off, drag them out into the deep water until their head drops on the keyboard, then post away.

I wouldn't just have a stand in post to reddit for you.  The site & subreddits are communities unto themselves (duh).  People who are part those communities post things they like.  It would be weird if I went and made a new topic in every permits section for everyblog post I did.  (I realize it's not a great analogy).  I'm not trying to justify the dude obsessed w/down voting you (nor am I saying he is less than perfect .  Just explaining how I see the culture of subreddits working based on my experience ymmv.

How about I'll post a link to the podcast tomorrow morning at 10 EST (that's 2 hours ahead of you Paul) and everybody here can upvote it? Just tell me where to post it please.

It didn't show up.  You need to "message the moderators" and tell them that your submission didn't show up - maybe it got caught in the spam filter.
