I've been thinking, paul.
As far as reddit goes, the strategy might be something like this:
have someone (not you) post it to one subreddit.
make a similar video. maybe second youtube account, and have someone submit that one to a differen't subreddit. if both people submit it to two differen't subreddits, you can get away with it probably.
the problem is this: that damned reddit community seems to hate re-posts, even though EVERYTHING on there is a repost.
ah, there's the other solution,
perhaps have both accounts submit it to two subreddits, then you simply wait about two months, delete the posts, and have differn't people resubmit them.
another way to go:
Zune. Zune seems to have a bunch of podcasts... i don't know the motivation there, or how to go about getting a podcast on zune, but
http://social.zune.net/podcasts/ there's the link. it seems like your podcasts could go far there, or even your short videos (as podcasts)
also, instead of just youtube, you might as well start a blog too. you don't have to type anything, but definitely just post your video's there.
if you type things about yourself though, about your lifestyle, you're likely to get followers as time goes by. I see that you're getting burned out, but a paragraph per week, about plans you have, people you've talked too, even if your blog is unrelated to permaculture, and related only to your travels (the travels you take to get your videos) and that blog is linked to your youtube channel, that way you can corral people in that weren't looking for permaculture, but an interesting read on people of the good ol' usa.
the searches for information on traveling, or video making could direct traffic to your youtube, and ultimately here.
as far as reddit goes, perhaps if you do something incognito, add a fake account, and post your videos there, have someone else talk on the videos, so people don't really recognize you. this way you can get away from the stigma that it's just "another paul wheaton video" (if that's what they're about)
also, calling them a stalker is a little far. as far as i can tell, these are people subscribed to subreddits, that simply see your video's posted more than once, and decide to cry about it.
