I'm guessing this is the closest regional forum for N.Cal.
Anyway, would really like to connect with some of you who live in the N.Cal. region and see/discuss what you got going.
We live on 10 acres east of Redding heading towards Mt. Lassen.
If anyone around here is interested in carpooling up to the Southern Oregon Permaculture Institute let me know.
Reply here or PM me if you want to connect.
peace,
Brett

We're about 60 miles east of Redding, though alas don't feel like anyone's going to the convergence, though sounds wonderful.

Brett,

I know this is an older thread and I'm not sure if you're still around, but if you are I'd love to connect! My wife and I are just starting on this journey as well and we're also not-quite-cascadia-but-definitely-not-southwestern northern Californians (same zone too).

We're taking a trip up to S. Oregon this autumn. Where are you located?

Cheers!

There is already a thread on here called "Northern Californians" where there are a few more of us. One guy has started a group out of Redding.....see shastapermaculture.com....might be sort of central even though we are all spread out. (I'm about 15 miles west of Red Bluff). We went to one meeting, a plant walk with Wolfgang Rougle, pretty cool! I think they will try to meet every month. There's an even larger group in Chico, but that's further away for most of us!
I have been to SOPI near Ashland. Be sure to call or contact them first don't just show up. There's an active group in Ash. too and lots of permie sites tucked away near there.....
Wife and I moved here from Georgia two years ago. Busy learning a whole new ecosystem.....and how to eat lots of acorns..
I think I met Joshua at the convergence at MA center last year. I'm going to the one up near Portland in a week....

She's brilliant. She can see what can be and is not limited to what is. And she knows this tiny ad:
