The titles of threads

I'm beginning to think that I take them too literally.   

"Biodynamic vs permaculture" sounds like a debate.

"Should we have a biodynamic forum?"sounds like a question.

"Permies from outer space!" [that's mine] sounds just plain goofy.

My point is that we all probably arrived here because we were thinking outside the box. 

Thinking leads to opinions.

I think your be nice policy is perfect for this forum.

I think the problems I've been seeing come from me not banning sooner.  I think I need to be more diligent.

Having lots of opinions is what I want.

Having people oppress the opinions of others is what i don't want.  And now I think I have done a bit of an oppressor-ectomy.

I fully expect that the path I take will be different than the path of that nearly everybody else would take if they were in my shoes.    Of course, I have a massive track record for success in managing forums - so I tend to be even more arrogant than usual when it comes to how to best manage an on-line community.

I wish to build a community of people that like my stuff and the way I manage things.  And for people that don't like my stuff and/or the way I manage things:  well, they will be happier somewhere else.

I think you could solve a lot of your problems by bringing back Emerson and starting a forum titled "Go debate it with Emerson and leave the rest of the forums alone!"

Seriously, I don't go to any other sites.  This is the only one I have ever actively participated in.

Why would I want to spend a lot of time here with the idea to learn more and to help others learn more and then go searching for some other site to have a discussion about the validity of science with  someone when that someone is right here?

I kinda like that idea,
Instead of banning folks limit their posting privileges to a single sub forum that no one who doesn't wish to debate with them need look at.

That sub forum would give me a space to vent without having to report myself as soon as I get done too.

I tried reporting myself once to draw attention to a thread that was getting out of hand.  It told me not to be silly and wouldn't let me do it...
